Cheese Danish

Get ready for Saturday morning and treat to your friends and family to this crispy gooey danish.  Simply start with a sheet of puff pastry.  Follow package directions for thawing.  One box usually contains two sheets.  This recipe uses two sheets of the puff pastry. While the puff pastry is thawing make the cheese filling. *Recipe inspired by Alexandra Cooks Cheese Filling 1 c. ricotta cheese 1 Tbsp. freshly grated lemon zest pinch of salt 4 to 6 Tbsp. sugar 1 egg beaten Mix together until smooth. Walnut Jam Scones

Huckleberry’s Walnut Jam Scones recipe by Zoe Nathan (shared with Lottie + Doof) 1 3/4 c. plus 2 Tbsp. all purpose flour 4 1/2 Tbsp. toasted and ground walnuts 3 Tbsp. cornmeal 1 Tbsp plus 1 1/2 tsp sugar 1 Tbsp. plus 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder 3/4 tsp. kosher salt (I used 1/2 tsp) 9 oz. cold, unsalted butter cut into cubes (I used 8 oz) 6 Tbsp. buttermilk 1 c. Matzo Brei

  Matzo brei is a classic Passover dish made with matzos and eggs.  It’s usually eaten for breakfast, but there are many variations both sweet and savory to top this traditional dish. You can serve it anytime you like. We added a bit of Tangerine Marmalade to the egg mixture to give it a little extra something and then topped it in two not so traditional ways. Cheese Pastries by Garlic My Soul
