Get ready for Saturday morning and treat to your friends and family to this crispy gooey danish. Simply start with a sheet of puff pastry. Follow package directions for thawing. One box usually contains two sheets. This recipe uses two sheets of the puff pastry.
While the puff pastry is thawing make the cheese filling.

Cheese Filling
1 c. ricotta cheese
1 Tbsp. freshly grated lemon zest
pinch of salt
4 to 6 Tbsp. sugar
1 egg beaten
Mix together until smooth.
Lightly flour your rolling surface and gradually stretch the dough just a bit in each direction.
Cut the dough into squares.
Put 1 tsp. of Just Jan’s Fruit Spread and 1 tsp of the cheese mixture on the pastry square. Bring the corners together and pinch the corners to seal.
Beat one egg and brush on pastry as an egg wash It will help them to brown nicely
Bake at 350 about 15 minutes until golden brown.
