Eternal Sea
Away too long from my living, constant sea,
I fail to reclaim health and sanity, dignity-
When I face the commotion of ocean,
Waves lapping like many dogs on my feet,
The pull of rampant tide and undertow,
Draws out the pain of pondering depression,
Managing my wearies and doubts in therapy session,
Putting focus in to focus, and concerns on hold.
This is the ancient and accepted baptism, sacred
To my inner and outer body, piercing conscience.
Roll on endless sea, but come back again for me.
