Sweet Silent Smiles
Mask the pain I am storing in my heart
Swimming deep in hopelessness
My soul is torn apart
Shadows of laughter
Still dance under the moon
Glistening rays of love
Taunt me and my gloom
Loneliness envelopes all
Of joy there is no trace
Tears of pure frustration
Cascading down my face
Melancholy hours spent
Morbidly alone
The sound of misery on violins lingers
And in my mind it drones
Will bitter emptiness end
I can't imagine so
What will fill my restless soul
I may never know
I will journey on
And smile that sweet smile
I will walk on shattered dreams
