It's an Act of God

"It's an Act of God" you say.
Pray tell, what do you mean?
Oh--all the mighty Devastation
Of "Nature's Wrath" you've seen.

It's good that you recognize
Almighty God exists,
(But only to blame Him for the Bad?)
That is, Ironic Twist!

If He should be credited
For what He's done--it's this:
He is the Sole Benefactor of
All Good and Perfect Gifts!

He has ordained Nature's Laws--
Set them into motion,
And that they may sometimes go awry
Proves not that"Wrathful" notion.

But as something Natural
Like ordered Day and Night,
Should we blame God for cloudy days--
Because we are giv'n less light?

We must needs change our mindset
To see things as they are,
The God who gave us the Dark of Night
Also provided the Stars.

And even in the Hard Times
Which we despise so much,
Together ALL THINGS can work for Good--
Loving Him, we feel His Touch!

So more to me, "An Act of God"
The likes of which I am,
Is a Dynamic so Postive--
How could I assess Him blame?

Rainbows and awesome Sunsets--
All the Beauty I see,
His Grace and Love throughout all my days--
Are His True acts, for me.

The next time that Good happens
Acknowledge this Kind nod,
Was not some coincidence--
But truly, "AN ACT OF GOD!"
