"First Love"

We're suppose to be through,
But I've tried so hard and just can't get over you.
You broke up with me a while ago,
So why do I still love you so?
Whenever I'm with you, you make me love you more,
Then, I remember about "us" and my heart crashes to the floor.
My friends think I'm crazy, and I guess, so do I;
I just can't believe that when you told me you loved me, it was a lie.
I actually meant it when I said those three little words,
And, it's for this reason that I am forever cursed!
I don't understand why I still love you,
Even after all the hurt and pain you put me through.
The best part of my life was when we were together,
You could make me cheer me up amd make me laugh in any weather.
I know I'll love again, but it won't be you,
For you will always be my first love true.
I hope we keep in touch throughout the years,
You did, afterall, give me love, life, and my first real tears.
But all I can do now is softly whisper,
"I'll always love you, now and forever."
