Invaluable lessons I have learned
guide me through every aspect of my life
Open my heart to the familiar
and happiness I shall achieve
Open my heart to the newly acquainted
and I'm bound to have it torn from my chest
As it beats slowly to a halt
the opaque reality of hate
which I denied exsistence
now appears
Killing all goodness within
And a dance with the Devil
seems pleasant
Because in the eyes of the lord
twinkles an eerie darkness
A darkness that is rivelled
by the comforting hum of Satin
As he lulls me to sleep
And for eternity I remain
in his arms
with the invaluable lesson I was taught
